12 August 2021, New Delhi: India experienced a tragic and horrifying phase with the increasing number of COVID cases. Millions of people were admitted to hospitals that led to an oxygen shortage crisis all across the country. The demand for oxygen had increased rapidly, as oxygen was the only element to be considered as an indispensable part during the treatment of Covid patients. With the global health and supply chain industries struggling due to the lack of oxygen in various states, the demand for oxygen tanks had flooded the social media platforms.
AWL India, India’s fastest-growing logistics and supply chain Management Company, lent an extensive and efficient supply chain network, supported by the optimized flow of global aid from countries to the Indian states. Together with the Indian government, AWL India continued their efforts to provide oxygen supplies to all those in need in that crucial time.
Several external countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, UAE, France, Thailand provided a helping hand to our country in fighting the pandemic crisis. These countries provided millions of dollars worth of basic supplies and equipment, oxygen generators, oxygen cylinders, concentrators, medicines, ventilators respectively. In response to these deliveries, AWL India went ahead and helped deliver all these supplies to several hospitals and medical centers all across the nation. They used optimized supply chain processes, skilled logistics teams, efficient warehouse space, and fast road transportation. In this context, the CEO of AWL India, Mr. Rahul Mehra says, “These are tough times with people in dire need of help and resources. Several countries came forward and rendered their help by providing basic supplies. This states that we have to gear up our efforts to ensure that these resources are delivered successfully to their final destination.”
Also to mention, UNICEF extended its emergency support to India’s COVID-19 pandemic response by providing additional lifesaving supplies. The first nine of 26 oxygen plants were installed, and over 4,500 oxygen concentrators and 200 RT-PCR testing machines have already been delivered all over India.
The CHAKSHU’s interactive dashboard and the advanced logistics solutions made AWL India access all real-time data of the supply chain. With the use of data loggers, it was easy to monitor RFID tags, barcoding, and labeling, alerts, IoT-enabled systems, notifications, and track the temperature-sensitive medical cargo from the starting point to the last delivery.
